The British Consulate and Central Pattana held the ‘Britain is GREAT Fair’ at Central Festival Chiangmai to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of HM The Queen Elizabeth II, and the start of the 5th century of Thai-UK relations.
The fair was opened by Mark Kent, British Ambassador to Thailand. The fair celebrated the special relationship between Thailand and the United Kingdom and highlighted various strengths of British culture including; education, fashion, arts and trade.
The International Secondary School Programme at Varee Chiangmai School offers the English National Curriculum and students take Cambridge IGCSE and A Level examinations which are recognised by universities all around the world. As a result of Varee Chiangmai School’s educational links with Britain, our students were invited to perform at this event. The students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be involved in this prestigious event and we would like to thank the organisers of the “Britain is Great Fair’ for hosting a GREAT Fair!
